Congratulations to the 11 Year Old All Stars for another excellent All Star season.
The 11 Year Old All Star Team won the Southern California State Championship in a convincing fashion. They went on to represent Los Altos proudly in the Pacific Southwest Regional Tournament in Fallon, Nevada and finished in Third Place. The boys played 8 games in 7 days in 100 degree weather and showed tremendous character on and off the field. After pool play for the first three days they qualified to play in the double elimination tournament. They battled through the tournament bracket and ultimately played Bakersfield (Central CA) in the Semifinals for a shot at the Championship. However, they fell short and lost in the Semifinals to a good Bakersfield team. Bakersfield went on the win the Championship vs. Laguna (No. CA). This is a very talented team which is evident by this year’s performance in the Regional Tournament as well as the previous All Star Seasons…3rd Place in the 10 year old Regional Tournament & 2nd Place in the 9 year old Regional Tournament. Each All Star season they have been on the cusp of winning a Championship and we look forward to seeing how they do their 12 year old All Star Season which conceivably could culminate in a Cal Ripken World Series birth in Aberdeen, Maryland. The families are very proud of these boys on how they played and the effort they gave. Thank you to all the Coaches & Families for supporting these boys and encouraging them to be the best that they can be! We had a great time in Fallon and enjoyed watching the boys’ play a great brand of BALL!

Los Altos 8U All Stars Bring Home a CHAMPIONSHIP for the First Time in an ASA Tournament!
Manager Jill Reyes as well as coaches Don Jewett, Brian Fowler & Steve Lew led this team to our league's very 1st trophies since our league became an ASA affiliate. During this tournament in Downey, the girls put up some impressive stats. 5 wins with no losses. In those 5 games our opponents scored a total of 6 runs while our team put up an impressive 45 runs, including a HR by Samantha Fowler, a triple by Sarah Searing and several doubles. Our 3 pitchers-Brianna Jewett, Samantha Fowler and Danielle Lew, combined for 51 strikeouts during the tournament. There were also several amazing defensive plays that helped win these games. We are very proud of our 8U All Stars!
