Dear Los Altos Youth Baseball and Softball Families, 

We are very pleased to announce that our 2017 Fall Ball registration for baseball and softball will open on Friday, July 28, 2017. This year we will have 10 divisions. Softball will host 14U, 12U, 10U, 8U and the Pony Tail Academy. Baseball will have Majors, AAA, AA, Rookie and the Tee Ball Academy. 

Registration for Fall Ball is $110 + a $15 City Fee. If you register before 8/10, you will receive a $10 early bird discount. 

Fall season games will start the weekend of September 17th and run through November 19th. There will be a practice day for all teams on Sunday September 10th. All games are on Sundays to accommodate kids playing other sports on Saturdays. There is generally one practice per week. Our Fall Ball program is much more relaxed than Spring – there are no standings, all-stars, or playoffs. We highly recommend Fall Ball for any athlete making the move into a new division in the Spring. We will also offer The Tee Ball/Pony Tail Academy again this year (provided we have coaches). This is a program open to girls and boys ages 4 to 6 with little or no previous playing experience. The Academy is a 10 week program that will concentrate on the fundamentals of the game and teaching how to play the game the right way.

For the first 5 weeks, players will be split into small groups and move from station to station learning the techniques of throwing, catching, fielding, hitting and base running. During the second 5 weeks, players will be broken into teams and 2 inning games will be played after 30 minutes of fundamentals review. Players are required to have a helmet with full face mask, a glove and bat. Boys must wear a protective cup. A hat or visor is also recommended. Players will be provided with an Academy shirt only. This is also great time for first time coaches to get their feet wet before the Spring season. Your Fall Ball registration includes a jersey - please make sure you select a jersey size for your son/daughter during the registration process. No late registrations will be accepted once uniform orders are placed so don’t wait, register next week! 

You can pay by credit card via the online system or you can opt to pay cash or check. If you are paying via cash or check, we are requiring that all registration fees be paid BEFORE your child is assigned to a team. There will be information on the website regarding where to send the cash or check payment. If the league has not received your registration payment on or before Friday, September 1st, 2017 we will not allow your child to be placed on a team.
